 The
SHORT CIRCUITS learning system consists of a lavishly illustrated
book (called SHORT CIRCUITS!) which has over 20 exciting projects
for you to build. The projects are relevant to electronics in the
new millennium and include some projects that are computer oriented.
Each project logically follows from the previous one - so while you
are having enormous fun!!! - your knowledge is steadily progressing
without mysterious gaps...
To maximise your fun and acquisition of
understanding, we have included steps on how to modify and experiment
with component changes and how they will change the performance of
your project. We have also included "bonus" projects for
those who want to know more. The operation of each project is fully
described. Some of the larger projects include a "Tech Talk"
box which goes into circuit description in detail. Nothing is left
unsaid.
 The
other part of what we call the learning system is a fantastic baseboard
which you use to mount your projects. All components are connected
together by our exclusive spring terminals. They are very easy to
use and do not even require a screwdriver. At the back of the book
is a paper template which you attach to the baseboard. You push the
springs through the baseboard. The template then shows you EXACTLY
where each component goes. This makes project success almost a certainty.
